Enclosed please find a copy of the bill of lading for the shipment of my mother's effects, along with the signed form and a copy of the on-line payment information. This is the equivalent to certified funds, as the bank will approve an online payment unless there are sufficient funds available. You should hopefully receive the check prior to the delivery by date.
I really appreciate your helpfulness in arranging this shipment. I wish more companies did business the way you do. You were both highly professional, while at the same time providing a degree of personal service that is all too rare in your business, or most businesses, for that matter. You exceeded my expectations as a customer by the speed with which you handled this order, by your constant feedback on the status , by your explanations of what to expect, and by brokering a price that saved us money over the original estimate. I will add that the driver, was highly professional and helpful as well. We received our shipment a day ahead of schedule, at a time very convenient to us. It seems like this was a "win-win-win" transaction.
We did notice that one finial from the vanity mirror was missing ( it attaches to the spindle that holds the mirror to the vertical supports ). It was not marked as missing on the BOL. Your driver searched the truck, and we looked in the dresser drawers, but couldn't locate it. Perhaps it became unattached when the furniture was transferred. If you happen to locate it could you please send it to me? If you don't find it, we can probably locate a replacement somewhere, even if not an exact replica. It's not a big deal, but just maybe, you will find it down there.
I don't know if I'll have the occasion to need moving services in Florida again, but if so, I will certainly call you. I would also be very glad to recommend you to others or provide a testimonial for you. Given the circumstances of the move, your understanding helped remove a big concern from our minds. During my lifetime, I have been responsible for several moves both residential and commercial. At no time in my past moves did I receive the quality of service, the expertise and proficiency of personnel, or the attention to detail that was exhibited by each crew member and by the professional staff of Fortress Transportation.
The dates for my particular move were agreed to by your moving company and by me. The date arrived, you and your crew arrived; but, an unexpected emergency caused me to cancel the move. Your understanding of my predicament was amazing. You simply rescheduled my move without hesitation or fanfare.
On the next scheduled move date, Fortress Transportation arrived on schedule with a complete crew and with all the supplies and tools necessary for dismantling a heavily furnished seven-room apartment complex. Prior to beginning the move, your company arranged for temperature controlled storage of all furniture, household and personal goods and a collection of Fazino paintings. On the day of the move, I began to obsess over the Fazino paintings and although the temperature controlled environment would have presented no problem for the Fazino collection, I determined I wanted to store them somewhere else though I had no idea what I meant by somewhere else. After much harangue of "go ahead and store the paintings" followed ten minutes later by "no, don't store the paintings, I will think of something." You, Ms. Springer, came up with a plan I not only approved of but a plan which spoke volumes about the care you take with your customers and their possessions. You said you had the perfect place to store the Fazinos and you were right. The Fazino collection found a temporary home in the front office of Fortress Transportation.
Your crew was excellent, your planning precise, and your individual involvement unbelievable. The move was accomplished in less time than quoted, without breakage of any kind, and with an efficiency and courteousness unheard of in today's market.
Two weeks after the move, I found myself back in Orlando and I was lost. I know nothing about Orlando. I had been driving around just over an hour although it seemed more like three or four hours. I had twice asked for directions; but both times ended up no where near my desired destination. Out of the blue and out of desperation, I turned to my only Orlando contact, Fortress Transportation. I breathed a sigh of relief when the voice on the phone said, "I am only two blocks away, stay where you are and I will lead you to where you need to go." If "A friend in need is a friend indeed", Fortress Transportation will remain my friend for life.
I am a satisfied customer who readily agrees with the statement found on the Fortress Transportation website, "we pride ourselves on providing consistent, quality service to each and every one". My sincere thanks to Fortress Transportation and to each employee of Fortress Transportation for the exemplary service provided me and my family.
